SSA Translators
In addition to the normal rules, use the following guides in translating evidence of age, marriage, legitimation or acknowledgment.
Show the names (if given) of the parents, grandparents and godparents in addition to the normal identifying information.
Translate the document entirely if the individual was illegitimate and was acknowledged or legitimated.
Provide the usual translation if both parties were present before the person who performed the marriage. Translate the document entirely if one of the parties was married by proxy.
Translate the document entirely if any children were legitimated by the marriage.
Provide a verbatim translation of the entire document if the document is translated by someone other than a TPWU translator.
