   Consider the following items in an office layout to ensure an  efficient operating arrangement:
   
   
   
      - 
         
            • 
               adequate safety and security factors, 
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               principle workflow that is efficiently organized,
                
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               office operations that are physically separated to allow for efficient procedures
                  and controls over the work operations within each segment,
                
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               individuals having frequent contact placed near each other, 
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               intra-office movement space not more than 15 percent of the basic DDS space requirements, 
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               files that are readily accessible to principal users, 
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               adequate privacy for staff, and 
 
 
- 
         
            • 
               adequate lighting, noise and temperature controls.
