1. a. 

   Enter “O” following “SELECT THE DESIRED FUNCTION” and press ENTER. This brings up the Production Region log on screen.

2. b. 

   Key in your six digit personal identification number (PIN). The cursor automatically moves to the PASSWORD field.

3. c. 

   Key in your four digit PASSWORD and press ENTER. The screen is now blank.

4. d. 

   Key in “EDIT” and press ENTER. This brings up the M/TEXT log on screen.

5. e. 

   Key in your six digit PIN and press the NEW LINE KEY.

6. f. 

   Key in your six digit PIN again and press ENTER.

7. g. 

   The screen now shows the M/TEXT national message screen. Review this screen for new information and instructions concerning M/TEXT. Use PF11 and PF12 to page forward and page back.

8. h. 

   Key J W NOO XXY and press ENTER. (N = PSC number; XX = component number; Y = Queue) This will place you in the proper queue. (See NL 00702.100 and NL 00702.167 for information concerning changing queues and processing transfer work.)

1. a. 

   Place the cursor in the position for a Head Command (second line on the screen at the left margin).

2. b. 

   Enter the letter “O” (either upper or lower case)(not “0” (zero)) and press ENTER.

3. c. 

   Press the PA2 key. This takes you out of M/TEXT and back to the SSA Main Menu.

To change from one queue to another queue the typist changes the last part of the group code at the top of the screen. This is done with the head command for JUMP by placing a “J” on the second line at the left margin followed by the section and the new group (e.g., J W700 10I) and pressing ENTER.

Once in a queue you will remain there until you move to another queue or until you log off.
