Divorce records are available from the Clerk of the District Court in the county where the divorce was granted. The cost of copy varies. Marriage records are available from the County Clerk in the county where the license was issued. The cost of copy varies.

Birth $13.00, Death $10.00, Marriage and Divorce $13.00. If using a credit card, the cost is $30.25 with additional copies for $12.00.

Money order or personal check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover).

4. Remarks:

Requests should be sent to the FO.

Fax requests to the Vital Records Section may be made on an emergency basis for birth and death certificates. The fax number is (307) 635-4103.

Divorce and marriage records are available from the State office since May 1941.

Can FO verify, certify or obtain free copy of birth/death record?

Yes, for cases that meet the requirements in GN 00301.210, SSA Purchase of Evidence.
