Benefit amounts based on additional U.S. coverage are recomputed when additional U.S. coverage is identified or when the NH requests it. Additional foreign coverage will never increase U.S. benefit amounts.

If a request from the NH for a recomputation is not restricted to U.S. benefits, send a copy of the request along with an updated U.S. coverage record to the foreign agency.
