There are some entries which must be shown on a U.K. coverage certification before it can be used to credit U.K. coverage.
Follow these steps to evaluate a U.K. coverage certification.

Ensure that the record has been certified directly from the U.K. agency to OIO or FSP, not through the claimant or third party.
If yes, go to step 2
If no, route the case to IOTS for evaluation.

Check all identifying data (name, DOB etc.) to ensure, to your satisfaction, that the U.K. certification belongs to the proper claimant.
If yes, go to step 3

Verify that there is a number of weeks entry for each "from-to" period and that the number does not exceed the actual number of weeks in the period.
Exception: For the period 1 Jan 37 - 4 July 48, the number of weeks entry may exceed the 599 actual weeks. However, the maximum number of QCs that can be credited for that period is 47.
