E. Additional coverage record information
The National Social Security Agency (NSSA) forwards all request for Danish earnings to the Labour Market Supplementary Pension (ATP) agency. This agency retrieves the earnings records requested and will forward to SSA only twice a month with any other information that was requested.
If a person living in the U.S. needs their own data from ATP it is still possible for the individual to contact ATP directly through www.atp.dk (direct secure mail) or by phone at + 011-45-4820-4923. Questions from the U.S. must include name and Danish CPR.NR (or date of birth). Information from ATP will be sent by mail including datasheet (Excel) which will include the name and the CPR number.
F. How ATP credits Danish contributions
Total contributions are paid per year. One line per type of contribution per year.
If the contribution includes type 600 or 610 it has to be divided by 2 (these contributions are paid in double – SSA does not recognize type 600 or 610).
Contribution for calculation
This is the “cleared” contribution which the calculation is based upon.
Months – amount of months (contribution for calculation is divided by the standard contribution per citizen)
QCs – amount of quarters (number of months is divided by 4
Year - amount of years (contribution for calculation is divided by 12 months.
NOTE: ATP will do all calculations for SSA and convert all contributions to the “QC Employment Factor”.
