GN 01762.210 Preparing Claims Packages in the Office of Earnings and International Operations (OEIO), Division of International Operations (DIO) for Claims Filed in Uruguay

A. Procedure – U.S. claim

Prepare a Form SSA e2960 USA/UY 3 if a Uruguayan certified coverage record is required and the Social Security Administration (SSA) has not already requested one.

B. Procedure – Claims for both U.S. and Uruguayan benefits or Uruguayan benefits only

Prepare a Form SSA e2960 USA/UY 3 to:

  1. 1. 

    Request the Uruguayan certified coverage record and include a copy of the Form SSA e2960 USA/UY 3; and

  2. 2. 

    Send the information or documentation the Uruguayan liaison agency has requested.
