RS 00615.582 Computing the Reduction Factor Adjustment — No Entitlement Prior to Age 60

A. POLICY

Compute the rates at 62 and FRA by removing crediting months.

B. PROCEDURE

1. Age 62 Adjustment

    Original reduction factor minus crediting months from MOET up to 62 = Age 62 adjusted reduction factor (ARF).

  • •

    The unreduced widow(er)'s benefit adjusted by the Age 62 ARF = MBA at age 62.

2. FRA Adjustment

  • •

    Original reduction factor minus crediting months from MOET up to FRA = FRA adjusted reduction factor (ARF).

  • •

    The unreduced widow(er)'s benefit adjusted by the FRA ARF = MBA at FRA.
