A child who is entitled on more than one Social Security number (SSN) can receive
benefits only on one SSN. The technical entitlement on the other SSN will not prevent
the payment of the MSSR to another beneficiary entitled only on that account.
When two children are entitled and one is entitled under 216(h)(3), MSSR can be paid
only if the child who was not entitled under 216(h)(3) is protected by the special
savings clause established under the 1967 amendment.
