DI 11055.195 Additional Medical Evidence Received in the Field Office (FO) after a Medical Determination

If the FO receives medical evidence after the Disability Determination Services (DDS) made a medical determination, the FO must forward the medical evidence to the DDS for review. For instruction for both CEF and MDF cases, see DI 81010.125.C. Depending on the submitting source, be aware that receipt of medical evidence after case closure may imply a request for an appeal, if the DDS finds the evidence material to the case.
