There is no systems notification when the field office (FO) transmits the appeal of
an initial claim previously identified as a Compassionate Allowances (CAL) case.
If the DDS discovers a CAL condition at the reconsideration level, manually update
the case to CAL: Y (refer to adding a case to CAL processing in DI 23022.055A) and process using expedited procedures.
