DI 39563.428 Supervisory Controls

Supervisors should review staff work to determine if workload management problems exist, and, if so, what corrective action should be taken. It is important that DDS's structure the way in which cases are reviewed, establish supervisory responsibility for reviewing cases at specific time periods, and require regular spot checks of cases at all stages of development. DDS examiners and medical consultants should receive timely information regarding observed deficiencies and remedial training offered and corrective procedures instituted, as appropriate.
