DI 40505.125 Additional Evidence or Information Received

A. Introduction

  • Evidence received in connection with a new or existing claim may raise a CDR issue.

  • Reports of work or increased earnings or responsibilities may indicate MI or new vocational skills - DI 40510.040 ff.

  • Information received during a title XVI redetermination may raise a CDR issue.

B. Procedure

1. Duplicative report

  1. Discard material already considered. Write “Duplicate report; NAN - DI 40505.125.” on top right hand page in file, or latest Disability Development Worksheet (DI 20503.001ff). Sign and date.

  2. Keep new materialthat confirms established impairment. Annotate “NAN - DI 40505.125,” sign, date, and file on right side of folder.

2. Report raises CDR issue

a. Medical issue:

  • Establish CDIOon an SSA-3500-U2 (SM 01305.825).

  • Explain issueon SSA-847-U3, or on SSA-5526-U3 if CDR interview not done; forward folderto DDS or FO for CDR.

b. Work issue:

See DI 40510.040ff.
