DI 55005.005 SSA Component Responsibilities with Regard to the Ticket Program Manager (TPM)

A. Role of the Office of Research, Demonstration, and Employment Support (ORDES)

ORDES, an SSA Central Office component in the Office of Retirement and Disability Programs, oversees the TPM's administration of the Ticket to Work program.

B. Role of field components

Field components have the following three main responsibilities with regards to the TPM:

  1. 1. 

    Contact the TPM with questions about earnings evidence recorded by the TPM.

  2. 2. 

    Redirect ticket-specific questions and issues from ticketholders and other parties to the Ticket to Work Helpline (see DI 55050and DI 55005).

  3. 3. 

    Refer complaints received (or have) about the TPM to the Regional Center for Disability Programs for referral to ORDES, such as:

    • the TPM's phone lines are always busy;

    • the TPM is unresponsive to inquiries; or

    • the TPM makes inappropriate referrals of beneficiaries to field components.
