SI 00835.005 Flowchart for Sequential Development of Living Arrangement (LA) and In-Kind Support and Maintenance (ISM)

A. Introduction to sequential development of LA and ISM

USE THE FLOWCHART ONLY AS A DEVELOPMENTAL TOOL.

The flowchart represents the minimum required development for situations when a claimant lives in the same permanent LA throughout a month. Unstated income or other factors may mandate additional development. For First-of-the-month (FOM) Residence and ISM Determinations, see SI 00835.500.

NOTE: Even where this flowchart requires the adjudicator to

“consider ISM,” ISM may not be chargeable.
