HI 00201.015 The Hospital Insurance Plan (Part A)

test Hospital insurance, part A, is the basic plan which provides protection against the cost of hospital and related care. It is normally financed through separate payroll taxes and a separate trust fund. Individuals meeting the eligibility requirements (see HIIM 130.01) are automatically covered under the plan at no cost to them.
