There are two liaison agencies for Canada. The first is the Department of National
Health and Welfare which administers the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and the Old Age
Security (OAS) Pension. The second agency is the Direction de l'administration des
Ententes de Securite Sociale (DAESS) in Quebec, whose primary function is to prepare
claims packages for Quebec residents who want to claim U.S. benefits and send them
to one of the four border offices which service Quebec. In addition to DAESS, the
Regie des rentes du Quebec (RRQ) administers the Quebec Pension Plan (QPP).
