The agreement modifies the insured status requirements of the Slovak social insurance system. Under the agreement, if a worker has at least 12 months of Slovak coverage, but not enough to receive an old-age benefit, the Slovak Republic will credit 90 days of coverage for each quarter of U.S. coverage SSA certifies.
