The PIA established for a record is the highest PIA computed considering all applicable PIA computation methods.
Where a New Start method and an Old Start method result in equal PIAs, the New Start method will be selected as the PIA for the record.
PIA methods include:
current computation methods;
methods with limited applicability; and
the Special Minimum PIA method.
