SSA selects cases with 1619 initial eligibility for a medical review under the regular
CDR process.
SSA will do reviews of 1619 CDRs when there is a 1619 status change event. Use “1619
Status Change CDR” coding when preparing the Form SSA-832 for these cases.
The items are as follows:

Item 11 - Reason for Cessation: Do not enter any of the old substantial gainful activity (SGA) or TWP or extended
period of eligibility (EPE) codes, i.e., 66-71. The definitions for these codes are
obsolete.

Item 12 - Reason for Continuance: Do not enter any of the old SGA or TWP or EPE codes, (i.e., 78-80, 85-86). The definitions
for these codes are obsolete.

Item 20 - Why Review Was Made (WRM): Enter Code 23, (1619(a), Initial Eligibility CDR); Code 24, (1619(b) Initial Eligibility
CDR); or Code 25, (1619 Status Change CDR).

Item 23 - Diary Information: In continuances, enter an MIE, MIP, or MINE diary as appropriate, based on the instructions
in DI 26525.000. TWP diaries are not appropriate for Title XVI determinations, but they may be needed
for the Title II determination in a concurrent case; see DI
28075.620B in this section.

Item 24 – Remarks: Enter “1619(a) Initial Eligibility CDR,” or “1619(b) Initial Eligibility CDR,” or
“1619 Status Change CDR.”
