RM 01351.002 Number Holder Questions Data Previously Furnished

The information in this section is not applicable while mailing of the Social Security Statement is suspended. See information on accessing earnings information using the MySocialSecurity web portal in OA 00205.010.

A. Introduction

Requests processed under the following instructions include inquiries in which the number holder questions or disagrees with earnings, quarters of coverage (QC) or benefit estimate amounts shown on a previous Form SSA-7005-SM.

B. Procedure

If the number holder questions data previously furnished, take the following actions:

  • •

    Do not sort for data entry.

  • •

    Forward to the ET unit, third floor, Benefit Notices. Place the request in the tray marked “MOD 12” located at 7004 control.

If the number holder questions QC amounts previously furnished, take the following actions:

  • •

    Do not sort for data entry.

  • •

    Forward to DERO under cover of Form SSA-2543. Check box 5.

If the number holder questions benefit estimate amounts previously furnished, take the following actions:

  • •

    Do not sort for data entry.

  • •

    Forward to the servicing field office under cover of Form SSA-984 (Earnings Information Request, Claims Lead and Referral for F/O Action). Check box A.2.

If the number holder questions benefit estimate amount previously furnished and lives in a foreign country, take the following actions:

  • •

    Do not sort for data entry.

  • •

    Forward to Division of International Operations (DIO) under cover of Form SSA-2523. Check box B.6.
