GN 01704.750 Partial Packages for German Agencies

Send partial packages to German agencies to expedite claims processing. However, do not send partial packages to German agencies if the German insurance number is unknown. Prepare partial packages for German agencies as soon as a claim for German benefits is received, even if the package contains only the SSA-2960-U2-GE and the application or a certified photocopy of the application. In this situation, advise the German agency that additional evidence will be forwarded as soon as it is received. Always show the following information on Form SSA-2960-U2-GE: the worker's first and last name; worker's name at birth; worker's date of birth; worker's place of birth; worker's citizenship; worker's address; and the German insurance number.

Always send a photocopy of the Form SSA-2960-U2-GE which was sent on the previous partial package when forwarding a supplemental package to a German agency.
