Under section 218 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. § 418), a State may ask the
Commissioner of Social Security to enter into an agreement to extend Federal old-age,
survivors, disability, and health insurance coverage to groups of employees of the
State and its political subdivisions (also see GN 03314.115). Relevant non-tax return information may be disclosed for the administration of
agreements pursuant to section 218 of the Act from the following systems of records:
60-0089—Claims Folders System,
60-0090—Master Beneficiary Record, and
60-0320—Electronic Disability (eDib) Claims File.
