You may be a class member in a court case called Clark v. Astrue. The case affects Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments.
Because of the court case, we no longer suspend or deny payments based solely on the
existence of a warrant for a probation or parole violation. Class members, whose payments
were suspended, denied, or who had an overpayment determination made October 24, 2006,
or later, may get back payments. Class members with appeals of suspensions, denials,
or overpayments that were pending on October 24, 2006 or later also may get back payments.
We are sending this letter to alert potential Clark class members about this court case. We will tell you in another letter if you qualify
for back payments or if we need to talk to you before we restart any payments. You
